USA’s Joshua Day to race in European STK 600 with Racedays Kawasaki

Orlando, Florida’s Joshua Day will compete with the Racedays Kawasaki team in the 2011 European Superstock 600 championship, with support from Revolution Signs. The young American has already raced with the team in 2008, with a best result of 4th at Portimao and is now looking forward to completing his first full season in Europe. Josh will combine his racing with helping European Junior Cup coach Simon Crafar advise the young Ninja 250R racers, providing them with direct information on track conditions and techniques. Crafar rates young Day as a star of the future with the ability to make it to the very top of the sport.

Simon Crafar, Team Coach – “Josh is extremely fast and at the Jerez test achieved beyond what I had hoped. He’s a hard worker, gives great feedback and has a really good technical understanding. I’m looking forward to working with him this year and I can’t help but hope he goes as far as his talent deserves.”

Josh Day – “I want to thank Revolution Signs and the whole Racedays Team for giving me this opportunity to race in the European Superstock 600 Championship. Our test in Spain was a great success and I’m going to do my best to perform as I did there for the whole season. I’m going to have to learn a lot of new tracks but I feel that I will be able to learn them quickly and aim to win races for the team.”

Gerry Bryce, Team Principle – “I’m delighted Josh Day can join us for this season. He was blindingly quick in tests at Jerez and has developed into a complete racer since we last worked together. Josh has a real talent and I’m confident that this year we can achieve the results in STK 600 that the brilliant Ninja ZX-6R is capable of.”
