Former Australian Superbike and Supersport Champion Adam ‘Krusty’ Fergusson will join current Aussie Superbike points leader Glenn Allerton as a guest at the inaugural day of Alex Gobert’s Road Race Performance Academy, to be held on 10 September at Wakefield Park, NSW. Fergusson, who took the double crowns in 2004 after returning to the ASC following successful forays in the Supersport World Championship and American AMA Championships, will join the RRPA and take on a guest role alongside Allerton on the track, in the class room and in the pit area on the day. Both riders will be available to lend their expertise, with both set to ride alongside each session on both Honda’s CBR600RR and the all-new CBR1000RR Fireblade “” which was just awarded Australian Motorcycle News’s Motorcycle of the Year. Final entries are now being accepted for the opening day, with entry forms available on the calendar page of the official RRPA website at www.rrpa.com.au. Positions are available in the Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced classes, with a steady flow of riders entered to experience the first day of a new era in sportsbike rider training. The Beginner curriculum has been developed for riders who are new to the track and want to learn the basics to help initiate them to track riding and also help on the public roads, while the Intermediate class is for experienced track day riders and Advanced for the racers who are looking to hone their skills. All participants at RRPA events will receive six riding and six theory sessions each and will receive promotional prize packs on arrival “” with an RRPA cap, pen, notepad, participation certificate and RRPA school information booklet included. Prizes will be awarded to selected riders who standout throughout the day “” for development rate, safety and for concentration levels throughout the program. ALEX GOBERT: “Everything has come together exceptionally well and we are excited that the opener is almost upon us. We do still have positions left in each session, so it is a fantastic opportunity for riders to get up close with both Glenn and Krusty, who have been very successful in the country’s premier road racing series in recent years. I will be conducting the class room theory sessions and also spend time on track, and along with Glenn and Krusty we have a great team at RRPA.”
