Richmond, Calif. – April 3, 2014 – Trackside and sportbike performance specialists ForTheTrack.com have opened ForTheTrack.com MECCANICA, a full-service shop at the LeoVince USA Specialized Products Distribution headquarters and warehouse in Richmond, Calif.
“To complete our transition from performance manufacturer to a premium brand distributor, we had decided to close our performance shop,” says Tim Calhoun, CEO and President of LeoVince USA. “We had a great work space for the right partner and felt that ForTheTrack.com’s idea to launch MECCANICA was a perfect fit for that space. We get to work with a race/performance-oriented company that offers great customer service and that fits our customer base perfectly.”

ForTheTrack.com MECCANICA offers general motorcycle and scooter maintenance, upgrades, accessories, and complete track and race bike preparation. As a sub-distributor for tire brands Bridgestone, Dunlop, Michelin and Pirelli, ForTheTrack.com MECCANICA handles all tire services, including mounting and balancing. Tires will be available for street, track and racing applications. In addition, ForTheTrack.com MECCANICA offers suspension service, upgrades and installation.
Paolo Carrere, the owner of ForTheTrack.com and ForTheTrack.com MECCANICA, established ForTheTrack.com in 2010 as the premiere trackside support specialist. Online, ForTheTrack.com is a parts and accessories vendor focused on personal service and quality brands. “We only offer products that just plain work,” says Carrere, “as well as offering great value to our customers.”
Carrere felt that the time was right to open ForTheTrack.com MECCANICA. “There was a need for quality service in the Bay Area, and as a dealer of LeoVince USA’s brands, I thought it was a great fit to operate out of their warehouse,” Carrere says. “It will be mutually beneficial for us to service their customers and for them to support us with their great products. ForTheTrack.com MECCANICA is a natural extension of that, so now we can take care of customers both on and off the track.”
