The Four Feathers Racing(4FR) team will debut it’s youngest rider ever this weekend. Eleven year old Palmer Kling, of Martinez GA, will start his season on an official 4FR Toyota/Lucas Oil supported Moriwaki MD250 in the Wera National Challenge series when they visit Roebling Road Raceway for their season opener. 4FR has increased their involvement with Palmer’s program over the last few years and he has grown into a great representative for the team. The team is proud to be able to help another deserving young athlete achieve his dreams. In this case it is extra special as Palmer has taken it upon himself to make a difference in the world by helping others. “We first met Palmer as a fan in 2008, he sent me a post card and then letters about his mini races. We started to help him with his program and give his very supportive family some pointers. Palmer decided that he wanted to help others like we do and that really impressed me. We have since taken him under our wing and with the help of our team partners he is now an official 4FR rider.” said 4FR team principal Scotty Van Hawk. “It is great to know that we are making a positive impact on our sport and although Palmer’s only responsibility to the team is for him to have fun we are excited to see what he achieves this season.” Palmer had this to say about his involvement with 4FR, “I’m very excited to be working with Four Feathers Racing again this year. I’ve known Scotty Van Hawk for a few years now, and he has taught me a lot about racing and helping people. Scotty told me about his bicycle helmet safety program where he teaches young kids about the importance of wearing bicycle helmets. I thought it would be cool to use my experiences racing, and crashing, to teach other kids to wear their helmets too, so I started a helmet safety program in my hometown. Now I work with my local Safe Kids Coalition to teach helmet safety to elementary school kids. It’s a lot of fun! My first race of 2011 is this weekend, and I can’t wait. I will be racing for Four Feathers Racing in the WERA National Challenge Series. After a boring off season I’m ready to get back on track! I’m so happy to have the support of Four Feathers Racing, Lucas Oils, Toyota, and Arai Helmets. I hope I can make them proud this season.” About 4FR– Four Feathers Racing Inc. is a non for profit public benefit company that uses the motorcycle racing platform to make a positive impact on the world one mind at a time. 4FR is proudly supported by Toyota, GreenerAcres.org, Scion, Lucas Oil, MavTV, K&N, Arai, RS Taichi, Race Tech, Moto Liberty, FMG, GoPro Inquiries are always welcome by email [email protected] Follow the team on the web at www.fourfeathersracing.com Social Media-Twitter/ @scottyvanhawk – Facebook /ScottyVanHawk
