FTR MOTO has extended its 2010 Moto2 World Championship involvement by supplying machinery to the Speed Up Team of former 125cc World Champion Gabor Talmasci of Hungary and Italian star Andrea Iannone. The Speed Up Team will use the M210 machine from the Buckingham, UK company and the two-rider effort is expecting to be one of the front runners in the inaugural 2010 Championship. FTR and Speed Up are preparing for the final pre season tests ahead of the opening round of the Moto2 World Championship in Qatar – under floodlights – on Sunday April 11. “We’re really pleased to be working with Luca Boscoscuro and the Speed Up Team,” said FTR director Steve Bones. “The team has a really professional manner of addressing their business and racing and in Gabor and Andrea they have very talented and fast riders.” Bones continued: “Luca and the team have some interesting plans for the machine and are keen to follow their own development path so from a technical point of view the Speed Up project is a really promising programme to be involved with.” Talmasci won the 125cc World Championship in 2007 while Iannone is four times a 125cc Grand Prix race winner.
