This forthcoming MotoAmerica race is unique because it shares the weekend with the Motul FIM Superbike World Championship. The international fanbase is looking forward to the awesome racing action generated by Laguna Seca’s historic track. Situated 5 miles inland from the rugged California coastline, the 2.2 mile (3.54 km) circuit is full of fun memories for fans and competitors alike.
Laguna is a special race not only because it takes places on such a storied track but also because it is the home race for both Oxnard, Ca. based Galfer USA and North Hollywood, CA. based Team H35. Team rider Benny Solis Jr. has many amazing memories from Laguna Seca. Perhaps, the most notable moment came in 2008 during a Red Bull Rookies Cup race when Benny not only earned the win but also a “SPEED performance award” thanks to the photo-finish margin of victory at 0.0008 seconds!!!
