Gary Jones to Join Forces with Acorn Woods Communications Huntington Beach, Calif. Acorn Woods Communications is proud to announce the addition of multi-time motocross champion and industry veteran Gary Jones to their staff. Gary will be working closely with the media to share AWC clients’ message to the enthusiast segment. Gary will also be working on special PR projects, and of course, racing public relations. “We already have a very strong team led by Cassandra Clawson,” Acorn Woods VP Brant Russell said. “Gary will certainly add another dimension and make a great team even better. Gary’s years of experience will help our company spread our clients’ message at the “core” level. His technical knowledge will be a huge help in defining the benefits of our clients’ products, services and activities in a way that will resonate with the enthusiast.” Jones began racing when he was 15 and won four National Motocross Championships on three different brands, was a member of the first team at the Motocross des Nations and was inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame. He continued on to win races and championships in a wide array of powersports disciplines from desert racing and ATVs to cars. Today, Gary and wife Renee help out sons Gregory and Justin Jones in motocross, off-road and ATV racing under the Jones Racing Team tent. Gary himself still races virtually every weekend, just having returned from Australia where he spent a month racing from one side of the country to the other. “I am excited about this new position at Acorn Woods and am really looking forward to sinking my teeth into this… starting with the outdoor Nationals,” Jones said. “I think I bring a lot of experience both on the track and in the industry. I’ve spent my whole life racing and it’s truly my passion. This new challenge is tailor-made for me; we are going to have a lot of fun getting traction and moving this company forward.”
