Tustin, Ca (January 13, 2012) Shoei Safety Helmet Corp. is pleased to announce their continued relationship with Garrett Gerloff. Garrett will be outfitted with the race-proven Shoei X-Twelve while competing in the AMA Daytona Sportbike series for the 2012 season. “Last year was the first time I experienced a Shoei helmet [X-Twelve],” said the Yamaha Extended Service/Graves/Yamaha Daytona Sportbike rider. “I knew right away that it was exceptional compared to anything I’ve worn in the past; it’s a lot lighter, and feels way more solid. I also found out it takes impacts really well, too! I’m really excited to extend my relationship with Shoei again this year. The racer support and the helmets are the best in the paddock.” Shoei Safety Helmet Corp.’s Patrick Houlihan is also ecstatic to extend their support to Gerloff for the coming year: “Garrett caught our attention towards the end of his amateur career, winning countless races and showing the raw speed and talent needed to be a contender in the AMA ranks. Shortly after making the switch to Shoei, Garrett competed in his first pro race at NJMP in the AMA SuperSport class. His results and lap times from that weekend speak for themselves, and we knew Garrett was the real deal. We couldn’t be happier to be working with him for 2012 and beyond.”
