Kawasaki Motors Europe and GIL Motorsport will not continue their working relationship in the World Supersport Championship after the end of the 2008 season. Steve Guttridge, European Race Planning Manager, expressed his thanks and best wishes to the team for their efforts with the following comments. “It’s been nice to work with this professional team during this season and it’s unfortunate to see them moving on. Team owner Mr Ponsson has worked hard for Kawasaki during 3 years of collaboration and always wanted to give us the best results possible in this highly competitive category. We wish him and the individuals within the GIL Motorsport team the best of luck with their future projects.” The GIL team will have its final outing of the 2008 season at the all-new Parkalgar circuit, near Portimao in Portugal, on November 2nd.
