The Fuchs-Silkolene British Supersport Championship will welcome a new team in 2010 with the announcement that GNS Racing will field a two rider team in the series. Based in Southampton and owned by former Centurion Racing co-owner and race manager Gary Stubbington, the team has already signed Ulsterman Paul Jordan, who will ride one of the team’s 2009-specification Honda CBR600RRs, and the former 125cc British Championship front-runner will be joined by a second rider who will be announced soon. Commenting on the announcement, Gary Stubbington said: “We are very excited about our new venture and are delighted to have signed such a quality rider as Paul initially. We are talking to other riders and hope to announce who our second rider is soon so we can finalise our plans. We know the bikes and riders will be competitive from the start so we have very high expectations for the season ahead.” The 2010 British Supersport Championship, which is second only to the British Superbike Championship in terms of prestige, starts at Brands Hatch over Easter.
