SPEEDCELL EQUIPPED RIDERS DOMINATE PREMIER CLASS PODIUMS AT AMA PRO RACING ROAD ATLANTA ROUND April 24, 2012 (Las Cruces, New Mexico)””Living up to the adage, “when the green flag drops, the BS stops”, Speedcell battery equipped riders dominate the premier classes at the AMA Pro Road Racing event in Atlanta, taking all twelve podium positions on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, Yoshimura Suzuki Racing’s Blake Young had the ride of his career on his Speedcell-equipped, Yoshimura-built Superbike. After being gridded dead last for the red-flag restart, Young blitzed the field for a come from behind victory that stunned the crowd. The Superbike podium was an all Speedcell affair with the Monster Energy Graves Yamaha teammates Hayes and Herrin taking the second and third steps. Saturday’s Daytona Sportbike race was dominated by Geico Suzuki’s Martin Cardenas on his Speedcell-equipped GSXR600. The Saturday Daytona Sportbike race was also a clean sweep for Speedcell equipped riders with Dane Westby on his M4 Broaster Chicken Suzuki in second and Y.E.S. Graves Yamaha’s Tommy Hayden in third. Sunday’s Superbike race was another all Speedcell affair. After the initial laps, Monster Energy Graves Yamaha’s Josh Hayes slowly gapped the field for an uncontested victory. Yoshimura Suzuki Racing’s Blake Young ran a lonely race coming across the stripe in second place. The final podium position went to Josh Herrin on his Speedcell equipped Monster Energy Graves Yamaha R1. Sunday’s Daytona Sportbike race was the second act of Geico Suzuki’s Martin Cardenas domination. After a race long battle with Y.E.S. Graves Yamaha’s Tommy Hayden, Cardenas was able to break away in the final laps and secure victory number two. Dane Westby rounded out the all Speedcell equipped podium with his M4 Broaster Chicken Suzuki.
