Grand Rapids Harley-Davidson Racing to Support Combat Veteran Outreach in AMA Paddock West Olive, MI – Greg Hutcheson/Grand Rapids Harley-Davidson Racing will assist Veterans Empowered Through Motorsports (VETM) in the AMA Pro Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson Series. Beginning July 12-14 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course event, the team will receive a disabled combat veteran crew member. These veterans will be fully integrated into the team as an active crew member. This past weekend at Barber Motorsports Park two XR1200 teams included disabled combat veterans local to the area. Greg Hutcheson, rider of the #110 XR1200 and team owner, stated “The VETM crew has been awesome for the teams they’ve worked for in AMA paddock. I feel privileged and honored that one of these heroes will be joining the Greg Hutcheson/Grand Rapids Harley-Davidson Racing team. We’ll put their skills in the spotlight and show that disabled combat veterans have value. This is exciting stuff, and I’m glad to be a part of it.” “Greg (Hutcheson) came to me last year about possibly working with VETM,” stated the Founder of Veterans Empowered Through Motorsports Peter Cline. “When Greg joined up with Grand Rapids Harley-Davidson Racing, we connected at Road America round and talked about working together. To have another team in the AMA paddock to engage a veterans mind and body is fantastic. We look forward to working with Greg and the other teams at Mid-Ohio in July.” About Veterans Empowered Through Motorsports (VETM): VETM is a recognized 501c3 tax exempt outreach program.
