Tim didn’t have a bike to ride when a long time friend and crewmember, now bike/team owner, returned from the Middle East July 7th. After a brief welcome back conversation a day later he had offered Tim to ride his 2004 R1 for the Laguna Seca. Tim was able to get a weekend on the bike at a Willow Springs club race on July 16th and was able to finish 5th running competitive times with the leaders. “I’m really excited to be riding the R1 especially a military friends, I feel like I’ve got his whole team on my side and everybody knows there’s no better protection than the US military to keep us safe. Tomorrow I’m just get as good of start as I can and try to move up. It’s gonna be a tough task to get in the top ten with this class having the most factory supported riders, but anything is possible, look for the #83 Yamaha to move up.”
