Charleston, SC February, 2007 — Millennium/KWS Suzuki sponsored by Ron Ayers Motorsports is proud to announce its participation in the 2007 AMA Superbike and Superstock series with riders John Haner and David Weber. The team will compete on Suzuki GSX-R1000 motorcycles with support from Dunlop tires. Millennium Technologies will be retuning for the seventh consecutive year as the title sponsor. The world renowned cylinder repair company based in Plymouth, WI has been an integral part of the team’s success. “We are excited about continuing our support of KWS Motorsports and look forward to building on the team’s successes from last year,” said Millennium Technologies owner Chris Hackl. Ron Ayers Motorsports will also continue their support of the team with 2007 Suzuki GSX-R1000 motorcycles. Ron Ayers Motorsports is one of the largest motorcycle dealers in North Carolina and is the leading online retailer of OEM parts through their website www.ronayers.com. “Supporting Millennium/KWS Suzuki is great way to give something back to the community that supports us,” said Ron Ayers Motorsports Jimmy Stallings. “We are excited about the mechanical package we have put together for 2007,” said team owner Kevin Hunt. “The Suzuki GSX-R1000 has been the dominant platform in AMA pro racing for the last five years and we know the 2007 version is going to be the best yet. For 2007 we have factory suspension support from Penske as well as the best Dunlop tires, I believe we will be extremely competitive this year.” 2006 Millennium/KWS Suzuki rider John Haner will be back as the lead rider for 2007. “I am very happy to be with Millennium/KWS Suzuki in 2007,” said Haner. “Kevin and the guys at KWS have always been great to me and they work so hard to give me the best bikes they can. The new GSX-R1000 is going to be incredible and with Dunlop tires we are going to have an awesome package!” New to the team for 2007 will be twenty-six year old David Weber. Weber has been contesting the WERA National series and local AMA races for several years. His best AMA result in 2006 was a twelfth place Superbike finish at Miller Motorsports Park. “For the last 3 years, I have been participating in AMA events locally as a privateer. Millennium/KWS Suzuki has consistently been one of the teams I have watched at these events and I have always wanted to ride for them,” said Weber. “I am very excited to be a part of their AMA efforts in 2007.” Both riders will be equipped with the finest protective equipment from Komodo gear. “We started working with Komodo last year when they helped John,” said team manager Chip Spalding. “We were so impressed with the quality of the product and the company’s willingness to accept feedback from their riders that we decided to expand our relationship to include the entire team.” “The fastest bikes in the world are useless without good people and we have some of the best in the business,” said team owner Kevin Hunt. After two years with the team, Michael Godin has been promoted to crew chief and will be overseeing all of the mechanical aspects of the team as well as tuning John Haner’s bikes. Rick Matheny will be returning to the team after a very successful year of working with 2006 KWS team rider Matt Lynn. Matheny will be working with Weber to get him up to speed in his first full season of AMA pro racing. Tim Godshall from Penske and Jon Tyus from CTR Suspension will be tuning the team’s suspension and Chip Spalding will be returning as the team manager. “We are a small privateer team but we have a good group of people and some really great sponsors. We are going to do our best to get some good results for all the people who have helped us out this year. We really couldn’t do it with out them and I can’t say thank you enough,” said team owner Kevin Hunt. “See you all at the race track!” For more information on the team and it’s sponsors please visit http://www.kwsracing.com
