Hardcard Holdings To Represent 15-year-old Racer Rech

From a press release issued by Hardcard Holdings: March 12, 2008 (Pebble Beach, CA) – Hardcard Holdings, LLC, announced today that up-and-coming roadracer and 2008 U.S. Red Bull Rookies Cup participant, Corey Rech has signed an agreement with Hardcard for management and representation. “I am fully committed to my racing career and I want to race and win at the highest level. The Hardcard team, with their experience and background in professional motorcycle racing, is going to be a great asset in helping me achieve my goals.” Hardcard’s athlete representation department is one of a number of services that the leading motorsports management and consulting firm specializes in. Hardcard’s Athlete Manager, Michael (Murph) Murphy now manages the career of several motorcycle-racing athletes. “Hardcard’s Andy Leisner has been informally working with Corey’s family since late 2006, as the young rider showed promise in amateur races in the Eastern United States,” says Murph. “Now we are formally managing his business affairs and helping him train and compete. Corey is a real talent and a great individual, and we look forward to helping him accomplish his goals.” About Corey Rech Born April 17, 1992 in Syracuse New York, Corey Rech began riding motorcycles at age four and began racing at 10. At 12, Rech began racing WERA regional events earning success and wins in WERA Minis, Lightweight Superbike and Supersport before winning two WERA and one AMA amateur National Championship in 2006. In 2007 Rech finished third in the WERA National Challenge Series in 750 Superbike. An Ethan Gillim “Chasing a Dream” scholarship recipient, Rech trained with Danny Walker at American Supercamp before being invited to the U.S. Red Bull Rookies Cup tryout in September 2007. Corey was selected as one of the 23 that will compete in the competitive development series for 14 to 16-year-old racers. Following a strong showing in Rookies Cup testing at California’s Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in February, Corey will begin the series April 18-20 at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, AL. Rech will receive his AMA pro license on his 16th birthday and is planning on racing AMA nationals, and USGPRU events that do not conflict with Red Bull Rookies Cup.
