Hayden Schultz Racing to field two riders in 2016 season

After a promising 2015 season, Hayden Schultz Racing is proud to announce their two rider effort. Keeping it a family affair, younger brother Collin Schultz will be making his MotoAmerica debut in the KTM RC Cup. After a successful season in the KTM RC Cup, Hayden Schultz will be making the big step up to the Superstock1000 class on board a 2016 Kawasaki ZX-10. The team is ready to begin testing and anxious to get their program going for the upcoming season.

After winning a mini-sprint National Championship in 2012, Collin Schultz will be carrying on the family name in the KTM RC Cup. Having gained valuable experience on the KTM over the past season, Collin is excited to take on this new adventure.

Coming off of one of his best seasons ever, Hayden is aiming to keep up the momentum gained after his podium at the KTM RC Cup World Final. Resulting from much consideration and work, Hayden finally set things in place to organize his rookie campaign on the liter bike.

“We decided to make the jump up to Superstock1000 for a couple reasons. With as good as the new motorcycles come off the showroom floor, there isn’t much needed to build a competitive bike. We wanted to find a route where we could be competitive with the small budget we have. Our team felt like this would be the best opportunity for that. Another big factor that played into the decision was the marketing aspect. The Superstock1000 races are televised which is very important to sponsors. In an effort to gain more support and draw more potential sponsors we thought that TV exposure is vital. I have a very large focus on marketing and want to gain as much exposure as possible. Our choice to go to the Kawasaki was because of how promising it looks to be in stock form. The bike arrived recently and the build has begun. Testing will start up soon and I’m really excited to get on it. Huge thanks to everyone that made this possible.” Says Hayden Schultz

Team Owner Dale Schultz said “We are really looking forward to the 2016 racing season. We are going to be doing a combination of MotoAmerica, WERA and CCS events this year. I know that both Hayden and Collin are excited about the challenges that are ahead of them. Collin has been looking forward to his turn to be at the track as a racer in the Motoamerica series. From a fathers point of view it’s exciting to be able to hang with both of my sons at the race track. This year will be a learning experience for both which is what life is all about. A big thank you to Kawasaki for putting together a program and bike that will allow riders to race at the highest level right out of the box. I’d like to thank KTM for once again putting on the RC 390 Cup races. As last year proved, if given the chance young racers will gain knowledge and experience that will allow our riders here in the states to be competitive with those young riders in Europe.

Hayden Schultz Racing thanks all of their sponsors for making it possible:
