The opening GEICO Motorcycle AMA Pro National Guard Superbike practice Friday at Miller Motorsports Park was cut about 12 minutes short by a two-rider crash and resulting red flag. Reese Wacker and Aaron Ascher both crashed in the Attitudes section of the track with about 12:30 left in the session. The practice was stopped to address the situation, and time ran out before the session could resume. The condition of the riders was not immediately known. Josh Hayes was quickest in the session with a lap of 1:51.734 on his Monster Energy Graves Yamaha YZF-R1.
