Josh’s Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha SuperBike teammate Josh Herrin equaled the fourth position on the starting grid that he earned in Thursday’s first qualifying session, which means that both riders will start from the front row aboard their crossplane-crankshaft Yamaha YZF-R1® SuperBikes. Commenting on his pole-qualifying effort, Josh Hayes said, “My R1 is fast! It’s good to get that first point of the season, and I’m really looking forward to this afternoon’s race. With Josh and I both qualifying on the front row, we’re really excited to have the pair of Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha R1s at the head of the pack.” SuperBike Race 1 will go green later today at 4:00 PM, and SuperBike Race 2 is set for Saturday, March 17 at 11:00 AM. Check your local TV listings for Speed TV’s telecast of both races.
