Kris Turner – Daytona Sportbike Racer, Turner Racing Kris Turner’s weekend at Mid-Ohio started out good with a 7th place qualifying position but unfortunately a mechanical issue on Saturday and a crash on Sunday kept him from making it into the top ten. He finished in 23rd on Saturday and 20th on Sunday in the DSB class. Turner is a privateer racer on a tight budget racing only select AMA Road Race events for the 2011 season. His best finishes this year were a pair of 7th place finishes at Barber Motorsports Park. www.facebook.com/punkin38 Chase Guthrie – Great Lakes Supermoto Champion Bloomington Power Sports Kawasaki’s Chase Guthrie from Mentone, Indiana will compete this Friday, July 15, on the streets of a northern Michigan town during the Taco Bell Ogemaw Hills Supermoto Spectacular in downtown West Branch. He most recently raced the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb for the first time, earning an impressive sixth in the Supermoto 450 class. Guthrie has been racing supermoto for nearly a decade. After graduating from Bryant University with a degree in Marketing, Adam worked full-time as a bank loan officer. In mid 2006, after realizing that sitting in a cubicle for 12 hours a day was not how he wanted to spend his life, Adam pursued a career with Twisted Throttle to feed his obsession with motorcycling. He has become a top SX/MX rider through hard work and determination. In 2009 he was on the winning team of the Motocross of Nations for Team USA and placed second in the West Coast Lites Supercross Series. In 2010 he was the West Coast Lites Champion and won the East/West Shootout in Vegas. His best finish in the points was 3rd in 2010 in the XC2 class. This year he’s racing a KTM 250 2-stroke and he’s currently 3rd in the XC2 class and 9th overall. He lives in Morganton, NC and also works for his father as an auto mechanic.
