John Dowd, Motocross Legend Several years after retiring from full-time professional motocross, Dowd still has amazing speed. Each year he has raced a round, or two, to keep his national number (16) and this year he’s accomplished that once again. At Southwick he went 9-8 to score enough points to keep his permanent number on a track that was the worst its been in years due to Hurricane Irene. Dowd, a former factory rider on both Kawasaki and Yamaha, is the oldest rider with a national number at age 46. www.johndowd.com Maria Forsberg, X Games Gold Medalist, GNCC RACER – RPM KTM This year at X-Games 17 a new event was introduced to the X Games line up; Men’s and Women’s Enduro X. Maria, a 24 year old accomplished offroad racer, got the call inviting her to compete just weeks before the event. She jumped at the chance and came home with the gold medal. She is also a 4 time WORCS Champion and about to win her 2nd GNCC Women’s Championship title. When she is not racing she has a full-time job at Boeing as an electrician in her home state of Washington. As if her life wasn’t exciting enough, Maria decided to step it up by taking the plunge into married life. www.mariaforsberg.com Mike Muye, Director of Operations – Arenacross The new Arenacross schedule has been announced and the series starts in October. While everything in professional motocross and Supercross is on break, race fans can get their fix with some great racing in Arenacross. More exciting news came from Arenacross when they announced they will be making the switch to an all 250 program. Historically the championships and the racing were much tighter on the smaller bikes. The change will help to make 2011 -20122 a great season. www.arenacross.com Josh Herrin, Daytona Sportbike Racer – Monster Energy Graves Yamaha Josh finished his final race of the 2011 season in a strong position with a win, unfortunately it was not enough to secure the AMA championship. His results for the weekend with his 2nd place finish on Saturday and 1st place finish on Sunday secured him a 2nd overall in the 2011 Daytona Sportbike Series. He had five wins during the season. For 2012 he will be moving up to Superbike with teammate Josh Hayes. www.herrineight.com Garrett Gerloff, Supersport Racer – Monster Energy Graves Yamaha Gerloff had an exciting weekend at New Jersey Motorsports Park with a win and 2nd place finish at his first two AMA Pro Races. A WERA racer, Gerloff recently turned 16 and made the move to AMA Racing. He definitely got some attention dominating the competitive field of Supersport riders on a track he has never been to before. ~http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000759795442~ Crew at Pit Pass Radio Scott Casber, Tony Wenck, Ed Kuhlenkamp, Jack DeLeon.
