Chip has had an amateur program for many years but has recently started a pro team. For 2013, his team will be contesting in the East Coast Supercross series as well as the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. The 2012 Championship marks his 3rd AMA Pro Superbike Championship in a row. In addition Hayes won the 2007 and 2006 AMA Pro Formula Xtreme Championships and the 2003 AMA Pro SuperStock Championship.
