There he always finished inside the top 20 in every series he raced and in 2009 he won the Top Privateer award from the Monster Energy Supercross. In 2011 he compound fractured his tibia and fibula and tore his ACL at a horrific crash in the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX. Today Matt runs a heating and cooling business his dad started in 1987. Instead he comes away from the first race with a second place finish, pretty good for the first race of the season. In 2012 he posted four wins and a handful of podiums but an injury at New Jersey Motorsports Park hindered his final races.
