Last year he was by himself in Supercross as a true privateer on an old CRF450 and had no mechanic. During the Outdoors season he hooked up with the Star Racing Yamaha team with the help of the casino sponsor. He ended the season early due to some differences with the team. Chris Carr is preparing to retire and this is the last full season dirt tracking for the seven-time Grand National Champion and land speed record holder. He set land speed records in 2006 and 2009, in 2009 he averaged 367.382 mph on his two runs. Carr started racing dirt track in 1985 and won his first Grand National at the age of 19.
