Vickie Golden, Arenacross – Babbitt’s Monster Energy AMSOIL Kawasaki
Vickie returned to Arenacross last weekend in Idaho to become the latest rider to join the Road to Supercross program. She is racing Arenacross to earn enough points to compete in Supercross down the road. Qualifying in both the Arenacross Lites and Arenacross Class she’s on her way to a 250SX Class endorsement in the Monster Energy Supercross series. If she accomplishes that she will be the first woman in history to do so.
Nick Krupa, Alligator Enduro
The Alligator Enduro has been around for over 60 years. Although the race isn’t always on the AMA National Enduro Championship Series calendar, it always draws a large contingent of pro riders. Nick has been actively involved with the event since 1974. Over the years he has been the president of the Daytona Dirt Riders, president of the Florida Trails Riders, and a member of Daytona Dirt Riders since the club was formed in 1976. He competed in enduros and hare scrambles for 25 years.
Weston Peick, 450 Supercross – Motosport.com/Fly Racing/Peick Racing
Peick has been a pro since 2009. He has been on a couple teams but been racing as a privateer for a few years. Despite some incredible results in the premier class he has been overlooked by some teams and many feel he is very deserving of a ride. Last year he finished 14th in Supercross and 17th in the Outdoors only hitting five of the Outdoor rounds. He currently sits 12th in points. Last week in Texas he qualified 3rd in his heat right in front of Dungey. In the main he was running 7th until he went down, twice.
Taylor Knapp, AMA Pro SuperBike Racer
Knapp ended the 2013 AMA Pro SuperBike season in 11th overall racing for the KTM/HMC team with teammate Chris Filmore. His best finish of the season was a 6th which he achieved at the final round, he also scored eight top ten finishes. In 2012 he had 14 starts in AMA Pro SuperBike finishing 14th in the series. For 2014 his current plans have him racing the first Round in Daytona with the TOBC Racing Team on the Suzuki GSXR 1000.
