Josh Hayes, Superbike Racer – Factory Yamaha Team Josh is coming off his first superbike win at Infineon Raceway where he rode a solid race in the California heat. He is obviously getting comfortable with his Yamaha and the new settings on the R1 appear to be working for both he and teammate, Ben Bostrom. Josh is currently in 3rd place overall in the AMA National Guard Superbike Championship with only 29 points separating him from 2nd place. Josh was the 2007 FX Championship winner. www.joshhayesracing.com Bill Dixon and Destiny, Street Stunt Rider – Yamaha Dixon is widely considered one of the Nation’s top freestyle riders and is best known for his monster stoppies and backwards wheelies. Dixon has also won nearly every event he has entered for the past two years, including the 2008 Stuntwars World Championship Series. Bill also holds the unofficial world record for longest stoppie at nearly 1200 feet and is looking to eclipse that mark as well as several other Guinness records on both his new Yamaha YZF-R1 and R6 sportbikes. www.stunts101.tv Luke Wegner, ISUMX Club President ISUMX (Iowa State University Motocross Club) was started six years ago from a handful of students who wanted to be able to go to school and still continue doing the sport they loved. ISUMX has now grown to over 50 members in the last few years and is continuously growing. This year ISUMX was awarded the sport club of the year at Iowa State. Future plans include a track near Iowa State University for members to ride at after classes, as well as getting more colleges to start clubs to compete with. ISUMX is open to students, alumni, faculty, and a limited amount of non-ISU affiliated members. Meetings are held weekly to discuss who’s riding and where, club events like races and riding trips. Last semester, the club organized riding trips to southern Missouri, Minnesota, Oklahoma, and Little Sahara. http://www.stuorg.iastate.edu/isumx/ Josh Grant, 450 Outdoor Motocross – JGRMX Josh had a great rookie season in the premier class of Supercross winning the first round at Anaheim 1 and finishing 4th in the series.
