Tommy Hahn, Supercross Racer – MotoConcepts Tommy finished eighth in the 2010 Supercross standings. This year he is on the MotoConcepts team for the first year and so far he’s had a mixed bag of results. Last weekend in Phoenix he finished 16th. The 450 class is super competitive this year and no doubt Tommy will find the speed it takes to run inside the top ten where he belongs. www.motoconcepts.com
Jeff Gibson, Arenacross Champion – Tuf Racing In 2009 Tuf Racing’s Jeff Gibson of Blacklick, Ohio won the Arenacross Championship. Last year he came into the opening round still recovering from an injury. Also last year they changed the Arenacross series to a 450 format. Jeff started out on a 250F and even though he eventually went to a 450, he never found his speed that won him the number one plate the year before. This year he is fully healed up and more prepared on the 450. It shows too, as he’s won the two first rounds. www.tufracing.net
James Slaughter – Promoter, Xtreme Motocross Series, LLC Xtreme MX Series started in 2010 by James Slaughter, Rich Maychrich, and Jeff Freedman. The mission of Xtreme MX Series (XMS) for short, was to offer riders a “National” feel at an Amateur event. XMS boasts live timing/scoring, Internet integration from the site to Facebook and Twitter, sponsored prize give-aways and awards, excellent expert purse, and a host of many classes allowing racers many options. This season XMS has taken a big leap by hosting events at Mototown USA called the Xtreme Supercross Series, and one opening round of the Xtreme MX Series. 2011 XMS will have 6 track in total: Mototown, Walden MX, Atco MX, Long Island MX, Raceway Park (Etown), and Hurricane Hills MX. www.XtremeMXSeries.com
Kevin Schwantz, Owner – Kevin Schwantz School 2011 kicks off a new schedule for the Kevin Schwantz Schools at Barber Motorsports Park. Martin Cardenas, 2010 Daytona Sportbike Champion -M4 Suzuki Team Martin Cardenas finally won his first U.S. championship in 2010 in the Daytona Sportbike class. He had already proven himself in his home country of Colombia, where had he had been a champion, but he set his sights on the U.S. and achieved that goal. Now Martin prepares to enter into the AMA Superbike class and start his work to win a championship there. This week he is testing at Daytona International Speedway. www.teamhammer.com
