A Quest for Culture, Cuisine, and Connection. Several years ago, after many changing life events, such as quitting his job at the company he founded, and ending a failed marriage, Allan Karl hopped on his motorcycle and traveled around the world. After three years and riding 62,000 miles on 5 continents, he returned home to California. It was an incredible adventure and, in many ways, a life changing experience–a journey. Since then, he has invested three more years and nearly all he’s got into writing and producing a new book about his adventure and the world. It’s an over-sized, hardcover, coffee-table quality book with about 270 pages in full color and more than 500 photographs, adventure stories and 40 recipes–all from 35 countries on 5 continents. www.kickstarter.com/projects/worldrider/forks-three-years-five-continents-one-motorcycle Chris Carr, Pro Dirt Track Legend -Seven time Grand National Champion/ World Land Speed Record Setter A few years ago Chris hung up his leathers and retired from Pro AMA Flat Track racing. He started in 1985 and won his first Grand National at the age of 19. He’s now the U.S. importer for Golden Tyre and the East Coast Distributor. He just found out he’ll return to Bonneville to attempt to set another world land speed record for Bub. Gary Sutherlin, Pro Offroad Racer – Privateer Gary was born and raised in Montana and grew up racing motocross before he moved to Phoenix to attend MMI. He ended up meeting Destry Abbot and Ricky Dietrich while he was in Arizona. He worked as Ricky’ mechanic in 2006-2007 and tried to qualify for the pro 450 class at Lakewood and Washougal while still wrenching for Ricky at Factory Kawasaki. His speed in offroad racing was evident despite his lack of training and he eventually set his sights on becoming a full time pro himself. Fast forward five years and he’s competed in the X Games, won the 2013 AMA West Coast Harescramble series in the Pro Class, he’s competitive in the Endurocross series, and got his first win the WORCS series three weeks ago. Gary is a true privateer in every sense of the word, is a single dad, and races for purse money to pay his bills. www.facebook.com/gary.sutherlin.9?fref=ts www.iphoneogram.com/u/178800478 Crew at Pit Pass Moto Scott Casber, Tony Wenck, Ed Kuhlenkamp, Jack DeLeon.
