Now back and ready for the 2011 season, Eddie has made a strong push to put together a formidable team to compete in the AMA, while always making it a priority to represent sponsors as well as anyone and provide a significant return to help keep the team running at the front. He was a high profile amateur and was expected to walk on to a respectable pro team. In 2006 he was on his way home from Loretta’s when he noticed his back and legs were hurting. Soon he couldnt feel anything below his belly button and was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor called Ewings Sarcoma. He was treated with Chemo and radiation for a year but has made a full recovery. He had to teach himself to walk again and its amazing that he is now racing Supercross. He started this season racing West Coast Lites on a 250 and recently joined TiLUBE Racing to fill in for the injured Matt Goerke. www.tilube.com Patrick Massie – #181 AX Lites East Champion, Foremost Insurance Spinechillers Racing Honda of Fairfield.com Patrick competes in the AX lites division and has won the AX lites eastern regional championship for 2011. He started riding for the Spinechillers Team in 2010 but was coming off an injury and missed the first two rounds, despite those issues he still managed to end the season in third. This year Massie came into the season fully prepared. Patrick and team owner, Dallas Avery, had one thing in mind, win an AX lites championship. With good preparation and a good race plan of being the most consistent rider in the series, that’s exactly how the title was earned. Patrick has raced the whole series east and west with his worst finish being fifth. Future plans include professional AMA National Motocross and Arenacross in 2011/2012. www.spinechillerracing.com Crew at Pit Pass Radio Scott Casber, Tony Wenck, Ed Kuhlenkamp, Jack DeLeon.
