The event will be the 2006 season finale of the AMA Superbike Championship presented by Parts Unlimited and will feature a unique qualifying format titled the Dunlop Qualifying Races. We’re certainly looking forward to it.” “We’ve enjoyed a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Dunlop and are excited to have them involved in this unique new event,” said TrueSports, Incorporated President Michelle Trueman Gajoch. “We were looking to create something truly exceptional with the Shootout, and the support of the AMA and Dunlop has made that happen.” The qualifying races will be held on Saturday of race weekend, while the AMA Superbike Shootout will be run on Sunday. In addition to five Superbike races, the weekend also will feature championship-crowning events in the AMA Supersport, Superstock and Formula Xtreme classes.
