HELMET HOUSE GEARS UP FOR A BIG 2009 AND 40th ANNIVERSARY. (Calabasas Hills, CA) Helmet House, Inc. one of the powersports industry’s leading distributors for the last 40 years announced today they are celebrating their 40th anniversary year with greatly expanded warehousing and infrastructure capabilities, designed to provide dealers with significantly higher levels of inventory availability during the key selling season. Evidence of this greater commitment is a new 200,000-plus square foot warehouse in Southaven, MS. This new facility replaces Helmet House’s former Memphis, TN warehouse, while almost tripling its inventory capacity and order fulfillment capabilities. Additionally Helmet House is increasing its inventory capacity at its West Coast facility by nearly 50% and has also upgraded its inventory management system and staff at both warehouse locations. All in order to better service and support the Helmet House national dealer base throughout the 2009 key selling season and beyond. “We were dissatisfied with our level of service to our dealers in 2008. Dealer demand outstripped our supply as we and our vendors struggled to react quickly to the increased demands of last season. We’ve made a commitment that this year will be different. We are confident these new tools along with significant increases in our inventory commitments will better allow us to help grow our dealers’ businesses in 2009. We couldn’t think of a better way to demonstrate our optimism for our brands after 40 years in the powersports industry and to illustrate our outlook for 2009 than through these investments designed to directly benefit our dealers,” said Bob Miller, President of Helmet House. Helmet House Vice President Phil Bellomy added “In addition to our investments across our entire inventory management function; Helmet House has increased its marketing efforts to company-record levels to provide even more robust support for our industry-leading brands and for our dealers. Helmet House dealers can expect more advertising and marketing support for all of our products plus a full array of exciting new product launches throughout 2009.” As the exclusive distributor of Shoei Helmets in the United States, Helmet House has invested heavily in developing Shoei into the number one selling premium helmet brand in the America. Helmet House is also the leading U.S. distributor for HJC Helmets, the number one selling volume brand of helmets in the world. Tour Master and Cortech apparel and gear brands have exhibited strong growth for Helmet House over the past 25 years. Recently Tour Master and Cortech were named as the top selling motorcycle apparel brands in a national dealer survey conducted by Motorcycle Industry magazine. The Helmet House collection of brands continues to be complemented by Helmet House’s highly rated customer service scores. In a recent Distributor Report Card, as published in Dealernews magazine; dealers surveyed rated Helmet House’s customer service near the top of the distributors listed. Helmet House’s credibility, product promotion and sell through were also highly regarded in this report card. Headquartered in Calabasas Hills, CA, Helmet House was founded in 1969.
