Champion Motorcycle Rider Josh Herrin and Fresh n’ Lean Ambassador to Attempt to Set The World Record for the Fastest Elbow Drag

–World Record Attempt to Take Place at Buttonwillow Raceway On Dec. 7 —

(Anaheim, CA) Dec. 4, 2020 – One of America’s most popular and successful motorcycle road racers and Fresh n’ Lean ambassador, Josh Herrin has set his sights on a new finish line – racing the clock to set a world record for the world’s fastest elbow drag, which requires touching his elbow to the ground for at least 30 meters while traveling at speeds above 100 MPH.

Perfecting the elbow drag is critical to managing turns in motorcycle road racing and the act itself defies gravity. The speeding rider is flexed in a 60-degree angle while hugging a rounded corner in an effort to maintain speed and racing position and touching an elbow, or a knee, to the  ground is usually very quick. For this record the elbow drag will last more than 30 meters.

A MotoAmerica Superstock and Superbike Champion, Herrin and his team have made two trial runs with the world-record attempt planned for Buttonwillow Raceway Park near Bakersfield on the afternoon of December 7. Herrin will be riding a Yamaha R6.

“This record attempt is about pushing limits and boundaries between rider and motorcycle that goes beyond racing, and seeing what’s possible,” said Josh Herrin, who turned professional in 2006. “It’s been a terrific journey and would not be possible without Fresh n’ Lean’s support.”

“For Fresh n’ Lean, Josh’s world record attempt embodies what we stand for – embracing challenges and fueling your potential,” explains Thomas Asseo, Fresh n’ Lean Co-CEO, who has also raced motorcycles.
