KAWASAKI ANNOUNCES SECOND ORDERING PERIOD FOR THE 2015 NINJA H2™

With the first customers taking deliveries of their supercharged motorcycles this month, high demand leads Kawasaki to announce a second ordering period

IRVINE, Calif. – Kawasaki announced today their plans to offer a second, limited ordering period for the 2015 Kawasaki Ninja H2™ motorcycle. This only applies to the street-legal Ninja H2, and not its track-only sibling, the Ninja H2™R motorcycle.

“The initial order period for the Ninja H2 motorcycle was back in November 2014, and we quickly sold all of the available production,” said Kawasaki Senior Vice President of Sales Operations, Bill Jenkins. “However, those orders were taken prior to the motorcycle touring the country with the Progressive International Motorcycle Show series and before the media were able to ride it for the first time. Following the indoor show series and substantial media acclaim this motorcycle has received, the public demand has been overwhelming. Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. has negotiated with Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. a limited production run of additional units, which gives US customers a second opportunity to purchase Ninja H2 supercharged sportbikes,”Jenkins continued. “Get yours now!”

Unveiled last fall, the Ninja H2, and its track-only counterpart Ninja H2R, are built-to-order in a special facility at Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. in Japan. Both motorcycles share the same 998cc inline four-cylinder engine and proprietary Kawasaki supercharger, built specifically for this application. The bikes also feature a trellis frame and single-sided swingarm for the first time on a production Kawasaki motorcycle, as well as a very special mirror-like black paint over its wind-tunnel-sculpted bodywork.

Devised, developed and built in-house by Kawasaki, the supercharged Ninja H2 sportbike and Ninja H2R hyperbike are redefining the standards in motorcycle performance.

The Customer Order Program will be open from Tuesday, April 7 to Tuesday April 21, 2015, with expected delivery from late May to June.

To order the 2015 Kawasaki Ninja H2, customers should contact or visit their local Kawasaki dealership where a deposit will be taken to secure the order. The customer will then be notified when the motorcycle will be available for collection following the meticulous production process.
