STRONG WINDS AFFECTS THE TEST OF THE DUCATI MARLBORO TEAM IN QATAR Archived already their first ever 800cc MotoGP race, and their first success of 2007 season, The Ducati Marlboro men arrived on time at the track this morning for the scheduled one-day testing session at the Losail Circuit. Unfortunately, strong winds prevented both riders and technicians to complete the planned work. Loris Capirossi and Casey Stoner weren’t able to complete many laps because the wind was so strong that they had to stop early, being not able to work on their Desmosedici set up neither to test some new Bridgestone tyres. The MotoGP teams now move to Spain for the second round of the 2007 season which takes place at Jerez de la Frontera on March 25. Casey Stoner (Ducati Marlboro Team) “Despite my yesterday’s win I feel exactly as any other day. Obviously the atmosphere in the garage is pretty good and we’ll do our best to continue exactly in the same way. Today we had planned some tyre’s tests but the wind was really to strong. The grip of the track wasn’t actually too bad but there wasn’t the condition to provide the Bridgestone technicians with an useful feedback”. Loris Capirossi (Ducati Marlboro Team) “Today we tried put up some laps but it was so windy and we couldn’t rider without taking a lot of risks. It’s a pity because we had several things to test for Bridgestone. The yesterday crash is already behind my shoulders and I’m really looking forward to the next race at Jerez”.
