Championnat International FIM e-Power à Magny Cours Matthias Himmelmann (Münch Racing) en pole position Matthias Himmelmann from Germany on the Münch ‘2’, like yesterday, repeated his performance of the previous day by dominating the qualifying sessions of the fourth round of the FIM e Power International Championship, held at the circuit of Magny Cours, on the eve of the Bol d’Or week-end. Matthias qualified in front of Thijs de Ridder with Team Crystalyte Europe and able to provide a good lap time following the problems experienced with an overheated engine. “We were able to hold out during two laps” said a quite concerned Jeff de Ridder, the builder of the motorcycle and Thijs’ father “but the race lasts over 7 laps.” Stefano Scrocchi (Münch Racing) did not start the qualifying session this morning, but was able to keep his nice result from the previous day which places him in third position on the starting grid. This morning, Christian Amendt also improved this time with his Epo Bike Honda. This enabled him to pass the two Bettimoto motorcycles, ridden by Thomas and Luciano Betti. The start of the race over 7 laps will be given this afternoon at 18h00. You will be able to follow the race ‘live’ on www.fim-live.com/fr/sport/endurance and at www.orion-timing.com/results.htm
