Hindle returns as national Pro Sport Bike sponsor

TORONTO, Ont. – Hindle Exhaust Systems will return as title sponsor of the Pro Sport Bike class of the Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship, this country’s premiere motorcycle road racing series.

This marks the third straight year that Hindle has sponsored the class, which will again be known as the Hindle Exhaust Pro Sport Bike Championship.

The Pro Sport Bike division is recognized as a key element of the Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship, where the world’s motorcycle manufacturers have a chance to showcase their very popular middleweight sport bike machinery. It is also recognized as an excellent training ground for up and coming racers to cut their teeth in the Pro ranks before stepping up to Pro Superbike competition.

“We are very happy to have Hindle Exhaust return in its role as title sponsor of the Pro Sport Bike division for 2015,” said Colin Fraser of Professional Motorsports Productions, which runs the Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship. “Hindle has a rich heritage in Canadian motorcycle road racing and exemplifies what every racer in this country wants to achieve – international recognition with roots firmly planted in Canada.”

Founded in 1982 by pioneering Canadian racer Lang Hindle, Hindle Exhaust Systems is a worldwide leader in aftermarket exhaust systems. From the street to the track, Hindle systems are international frontrunners in performance, quality and innovation.

Over 35 years of research and development have led to systems that yield significant horsepower gains and weight reduction for the street and the track. All the Port Perry, Ont.-based company’s materials come from North American sources, with the highest quality standards.

“With such a strong heritage in the Canadian racing scene, we feel very privileged to be a sponsor of the Hindle Exhaust Pro Sport Bike Championship for another year,” said Lee Hindle of Hindle Exhaust Systems. “It is exciting to play a role in the development of the young Pro racers coming through the national system and be a part of the scene that has been so big a part of our family for such a long time.”

Last season Kenny Riedmann of Belfountain, Ont. won his first Hindle Exhaust Pro Sport Bike title aboard the Riedmann Racing / Castrol Triumph 675R, ending a string of three straight championships for Keene, Ont.’s Jodi Christie.

In addition to its title sponsorship of the Pro Sport Bike class, Hindle Exhaust Systems will be supporting a racer program for Pro and Amateur riders, which will offer product discounts and contingency to sponsored riders. This year Hindle is posting just under $5,000 in additional contingency for the Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship.

To qualify for the program, riders must contact Hindle Exhaust Systems. There is still time to qualify for the 2015 Racer Program, and further details and contact information are available at www.hindle.com.

The 2015 Hindle Exhaust Pro Sport Bike Championship, and Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship, will open at Calabogie MotorSport Park, near Ottawa, on the weekend of June 12-14 and conclude with the traditional doubleheader at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, about a 45-minute drive from Toronto, August 14-16.

The tour will also make its first visit to Edmonton’s Castrol Raceway for a doubleheader July 10-12. The schedule is rounded out by races at Autodrome St-Eustache, just north of Montreal, June 26-29, and Nova Scotia’s Atlantic Motorsport Park August 1-2.

In the feature Mopar Pro Superbike class, Christie will enter the 2015 championship wearing the number one plate after wresting the title from Jordan Szoke last summer aboard his Honda Canada / Accelerated Technologies Honda CBR1000RR.

Brantford, Ont.’s Szoke, Canada’s winningest national Superbike racer, will return in 2015 in an attempt to capture an unprecedented 10th national title.
