The Rob Mac Racing team made the most of an early Spanish test to get the 2010 rider line up of Neil Hodgson and Dan Linfoot some miles under their belts before the winter lay off. For Dan this was a welcome chance to test the bike with many of the new settings the team had learnt since the end of the season, and for Neil a chance to ride the bike and spend time with his new team. Rob Mac “This test was very much about getting a good feeling within the team, we have gone through one of our toughest seasons in 2009 and needed a good motivational and fun trip to get us all fired up for 2010. Neil has really got my team jumping, he has injected a new lease of life into the team just at the right time, we all had a great time on track and a few beers for bonding reasons !! I am confident Dan will respond to having someone like Neil in the team and we all know his potential. All in all although it is a tough time to find budget to do these early tests it was the best investment we could have done, big thanks to Kevin Healy and Focused Events for helping make this test happen and I am sure we will pay all our supporters back in 2010″ Neil Hodgson Motorpoint Yamaha ” That was a great first test with my new team, it was very much a getting to know everyone and having a blast on the bike. The real work starts in the New Year but I have a feeling of the bike to sleep on now and that is crucial. My shoulder repair feels great and I needed to ride to make sure so that’s good news. I have a great set of lads here in Rob’s team and I am really excited about coming home to race again” Dan Linfoot Motorpoint Yamaha “I am so happy we got to ride before Xmas and many of the other teams, to be honest I was a bit nervous as the bike I rode at the last round was a bit of a monster and I was thinking I have that again to try and master, but how wrong could I be, the new settings we have has calmed the bike down and I really feel that I am the driver not the passenger ! We had a great test and I love my bike, I cannot wait to start in the New Year”
