Honda Europe has announced an NSF100 Cup Final race to be held in association with the UEM (Union Européene de Motocyclisme)in Albacete, Spain, over the weekend of 23-24 October 2010. The NSF100 is a small racing bike manufactured by HRC (Honda Racing Corporation) and has been designed as the perfect tool to introduce younger riders aged 10-13 years to road racing. Honda NSF championships are run in many countries within the HEMA (Honda Europe and Middle East ) region, including Belgium, Finland, Italy, Germany and Sweden. Series also run in the US, South Africa, Australia and Japan. The NSF100 Cup Final will bring the leading riders from each championship for a one-off weekend of competition and is intended to introduce young riders to an international level of racing with a view to finding the race champions of the future. The NSF100 machines will be provided by Honda Italy, which runs the largest NSF series with over 40 riders, and prepared by a professional team to give competing riders a full flavour of top level race experience and engineering. Honda Europe’s motorcycle racing manager, Robert Watherston, commented: “What a wonderful opportunity to bring young riders from around the world together to experience international racing at an early age. It’s probably fair to say that Honda champions of the past like Freddie Spencer, Mick Doohan or current winners like Dani Pedrosa, never had an opportunity like this.” He added: “The NSF100 Cup Final underlines Honda’s commitment to the development of future racing talent in generations to come and follows our recent announcements relating to the Honda Xtreme Academy in the off-road racing arena.” Model : NSF100 TYPE – HR01 DIMENSIONS (L×W×H) – 1956 × 595 × 911mm WHEELBASE – 1074mm GROUND CLEARANCE – 123mm SEAT HEIGHT – 681mm CASTERANGLE – 23° 36′ DRY WEIGHT – 73.6kg ENGINE TYPE – AIR-COOLED 4-STROKE SINGLE CYLINDER DISPLACEMENT – 99.2cc(cm3) BORE AND STROKE – 53 × 45mm MAX.
