‘Ducati All Stars’ Concert Packs THE ROXY Theatre ON SUNSET Ducati Kick-Starts 2010 with Blood-Pumping Rock Show Cupertino, Calif. — Ducati North America and a group of rock royalty known as the ‘Ducati All Stars’, kicked off 2010 with a high-energy show at the legendary Roxy Theatre, Saturday, Jan. 2. The inaugural ‘Ducati All Stars’ Concert was packed with Southern California motorcycle and music enthusiasts as the group of rock and roll heroes took the stage into the early morning hours. With classics like “Highway Star,” “Rebel Yell” and “Holidays in the Sun” on the set list, a renegade spirit was in the air and it was clear: motorcycle rock is back”¦ but it has an Italian mistress. “We all wanted to bring Rock n Roll and Motorcycles together in a cool way… something other than the stereotypical long hair/denim vest/custom chopper combo” said ‘Ducati All Stars’ guitarist Billy Morrison. “The gig was amazing, with beautiful Ducati motorcycles everywhere… including a Desmosedici RR on the stage!” ‘Ducati All Stars’ musicians included: · Steve Jones guitar (Sex Pistols) · Jason Bonham drums (Led Zeppelin 2008) · Steve Stevens guitar (Billy Idol) · Billy Morrison guitar & vocals (Camp Freddy & Circus Diablo) · Mark McGrath Vocals (Sugar Ray) · Chris Wyse bass (The Cult) · Donovan Leitch vocals (Camp Freddy & son of legendary singer Donovan Leitch) · Franky Perez vocals (Scars on Broadway) “This was a night to remember,” said Ducati North America CEO Michael Lock. “Adrenalin-soaked, raw rock met Ducati’s booming motorcycles and it was a perfect fit! A great way to start the year”¦” To top off the exciting weekend, on Sunday, Jan. 3 the ‘Ducati All Stars’ and Ducati North America staffers rode from the Sunset Strip to Highway 1 and then through the scenic Malibu Canyons. Billy Morrison rode Ducati’s flagship, the Desmosedici RR. “Describing the extraordinary feeling of riding an $80,000, 200+hp MotoGP replica motorcycle around the twisty canyon roads with mere words is practically impossible. Adjectives such as stunning, fast, beautiful, fast, powerful, fast, lightweight, fast, expensive and … um… fast, are simply not enough!” Future ‘Ducati All Stars’ performances are in the works, which may include a west coast tour and potential international expansion.
