Following on from a solid start to the season at the first round of the 2009 British Superbike Championship, Hydrex Honda Team riders Karl Harris and Stuart Easton are hoping to take their success forward when round two of the series visits Oulton Park next weekend. Stuart Easton made an impressive first assault of this years Championship hitting the podium with third in the first race and just missing out on a double podium coming 4th in the second. Karl Harris has mixed fortunes, after running consistent top practice times Karl crashed out in the first race but recovered well to take points and a 6th position in race two. Preparing for Oulton Park could not be better. The team had a positive days testing at Snetterton last week. Stuart Easton then received an invitation to ride the World Superbike Race in place of injured Broc Parks for the Paul Birds Motorsport Team Following a successful 1st and 4th positions at Oliver’s Mount in Scarborough at the weekend, Guy Martin will run again in the Supersport Class as he prepares for the NW200 and the TT. Karl Harris “After the first few days hitting the top practice times I was buzzing, I don’t know what happened on race day, we had to change from our number one bike and I just didn’t relax like I should and this affected me. I have got my personal trainer with me at Oulton and I know having him around will help me prepare better and take the practice form into the 2 races. Oulton is one of my favourite circuits and I would love to hit form and get my first BSB win there” Shaun Muir (Team Owner)”We go to Oulton Park on the back of a good opening round at Brands Hatch, and a productive days testing at Snetterton. Both Karl and Stuart are brimming with confidence, they know they have good pace so we need to transfer the practice and qualifying into consistent race results. ” The 2nd Round of the 2009 British Superbike Championship takes place at Oulton Park, 2nd-4th May 2009
