TITO RABAT IS ONE OF THE BEST FIVE RIDERS IN THE FIRST OFFICIAL TEST OF THE 2010 SEASON. YONNY HERNÁNDEZ CRASHES TWICE, WHEREAS MASHEL AL NAIMI IS ONE OF THE RIDERS WHO SHOWS A STRONGER PROGRESSION AT THE ARAGON MOTORLAND CIRCUIT Motorland, 6th and 7th July 2010. On Tuesday and Wednesday the first official test of the season has taken place for the categories of 125cc and Moto2 at the Motorland circuit of Alcañiz (Aragón). This circuit will be the scenario for the 12th event of the MotoGP World Championship the weekend of the 19th September. This first introduction to the circuit has gathered 12 riders of 125cc and 32 of the intermediate category. The three riders of the team Blusens-STX have done about 500 kilometres each and have been unequal in the outcome of the practice days. Yonny Hernández crashed yesterday and today; the last one being especially tough, but without physical consequences. The Colombian was 21st yesterday and 22nd this morning (a second and a half away from number one, Andrea Iannone). Because of the accident he has had today, Yonny could not improve his times. On the other hand, Mashel Al Naimi has done a fabulous progression: the first day he was 30th and the second he went up ten positions and classified in the 20th place, 1.7 seconds away from the best rider. This means he is one of the participants that have improved his times to a higher extent during the second day session. The Qatari rider, who is completely recovered from his operation in the forearms, has been today a second and two decimals faster than yesterday. He has been as close as ever to the best rider of his category, which is significant of how well he is feeling with the bike. Tito Rabat has spent the test riding with the first group of his category and both days he has been the fifth rider with best results (Tuesday he did 2’01.832 and this morning 2’00.644, which is a second and two decimals faster). The Catalan rider has been today one of the participants who has improved his times the most. Tuesday Moto2 times 1º Andrea Iannone (1’55.364) 21º YONNY HERNÁNDEZ (1’57.193) 30º MASHEL AL NAIMI (1’58.361) Wednesday Moto2 times 1º Andrea Iannone (1’55.424) 22º YONNY HERNÁNDEZ (1’56.988) 24º MASHEL AL NAIMI (1’57.140) Tuesday 125cc times 1º Marc Márquez (1’59.544) 5º TITO RABAT (2’01.832) Wednesday 125cc times 1º Marc Márquez (1’58.619) 5º TITO RABAT (2’00.644)
