Stacy A. Sacra, an Emmy-winning television producer/videographer and self-described avid motorcycle enthusiast, has launched a grassroots campaign to find sponsorship to help him finish his short film on motorcycle road racing. “A Ride On The Edge” is the name of the project that Sacra is trying to complete. He hopes to one day submit his finished work to film festivals and market it to cable television networks. To complete the project, Sacra is seeking financial support via www.kickstarter.com , which is a website that was created to help artists raise funds for their creative projects via donations from the public. Sacra has set a fundraising goal of $2500 to help pay for equipment rental and travel expenses while films at motorcycle road races. Donors will in turn get listed in the film’s credits, receive a decal of the official movie poster, be sent a DVD copy of the film and get a chance to win a custom helmet paint job, depending on the level of their donation.
