Injuries Suffered During Motocross Training Put Road Racer Shane Turpin In The Hospital

Shane Turpin, the winningest motorcycle racer to ever come from the state of Utah, was seriously injured in a motocross bike incident while training for the upcoming season. Both the tibia and fibula in both legs were broken, as well as extensive ankle injuries. He underwent the first of several surgeries on Feb. 23, with another following on Feb. 26. His plans for the upcoming road racing season are on hold for now but the immediate concern is for financial support for Shane and his family, as he will be laid up and unable to work for the next few months.
