Injury Forces Cluzel To Miss Second Day Of World Superbike Testing At Phillip Island

Cluzel forced to miss second day of Phillip Island test FIXI Crescent Suzuki’s Jules Cluzel has been forced to withdraw from today’s test at Phillip Island in Australia due to the injury he received yesterday. Cluzel crashed at high-speed during the first day of testing, landing heavily on his left elbow and aggravating an injury from earlier in the year. The accident left him with a large and deep hole in his arm and after a thorough medical examination at the track it was decided that a small operation was needed to close the wound. The Frenchman will have the non-emergency procedure today (Friday) in Melbourne and plans to return to the team’s base on Phillip Island early this evening. Cluzel is scheduled to take part in the ‘Official Test’ that gets underway on Monday and should be fit enough to take his place in the two-day event.
