With the 2013 season recently over, the FIM CEV Repsol interviewed Moto2™ Champion Ramos. As the victorious Spanish rider declared, this title was the outcome of perseverance and many years’ experience in the world of motorcycle racing.

This great self-taught rider began his career at the age of nine, obtaining his first title in 2000 when he was proclaimed Champion of Cantabria in the minibikes category. It was not until the 2005 season that he appeared for the first time in the CEV Repsol. A combination of determination and developing talent finally led to him being crowned Moto2 champion in the CEV Repsol 2013 season. And if that were not enough, last October he added to his resume the title of European Supersport Champion.

But as reported last week, the new Moto2 champion will not experience the satisfaction of putting number 1 on his fairing this coming season: he has confirmed his place in the World Championship for 2014, which will incidentally bring him head to head with his role model, rider Jordi Torres, among others. From the FIM CEV Repsol we wish him all the best.
