Youth and performance are synonymous with the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup and IPONE, the 100% motorcycle oil. A new partnership with an initial 3 year agreement brings together the most exciting motorcycle specific oil company and the race series that gives the youth of the world the chance to embark on their Grand Prix dreams. IPONE was started in 1985 and grew out of the realisation that no one was sufficiently concerned with the specific needs of motorcycle lubrication. It began in France but has grown, going international in 2003 and now has distribution networks in Europe and North America. Competition has long been used by IPONE to develop the product and the brand with involvement in tough events such as 24 hour Endurance Road Racing, World Superbike Championship, The Dakar and the Red Bull Romaniacs. Since 1985 IPONE’s products have broadened to cover an incredible range of motorcycle needs and have now extended to include quads, snowmobiles and jet skis with over 150 products specifically designed for lubrication, servicing and maintenance. The Rookies Cup has established itself since its inception in 2007 as the Grand Prix entry point for talent from around the World with TV coverage across the globe through over 50 broadcasters, making it a natural pairing, putting two vibrant and performance oriented parties together. The Rookies Cup enters its 6th season with 24 young riders aiming to show their World Championship winning potential on the Grand Prix circuits of Europe sharing the weekends with their heroes like Casey Stoner and Dani Pedrosa, two of the Red Bull Athletes who already have World Titles to their names. The Rookies Cup and IPONE partnership first takes to the track with the the pre-season test at Estoril in Portugal on April 2nd, 3rd and 5th with the first two races of the year at Jerez on April 28th and 29th as part of the Spanish Grand Prix weekend.
