It’s Official: Geoff May To Ride National Guard Suzuki For Michael Jordan Motorsports

Michael Jordan Motor Sports Signs Geoff May May Will Ride National Guard Entry in 2009 AMA Superbike Series CHICAGO (January 9, 2009) The National Guard and Michael Jordan Motor Sports will field an American Superbike entry piloted by Geoff May in the 2009 AMA Pro Racing Superbike Championship series. In his first year with Michael Jordan Motor Sports, May finished second overall in points in the 2008 AMA Superstock Championship. “We’re excited and extremely proud to welcome Geoff back to the Jordan camp,” said Kreig Robinson, Michael Jordan Motor Sports Director of Business Development. “Geoff had an outstanding first season with the team and we’re expecting more great results this coming year.” May, 28, a former AMA Superbike Rookie of the Year, earned championships in WERA, CCS and Formula USA racing before turning pro in 2000. He is a native of Georgia and lives with his wife Jodi, in Gainesville. Michael Jordan Motor Sports announced its 2009 partnership with the National Guard in October in Orlando, Florida. The National Guard-Jordan team will make its racing debut at Daytona International Speedway in March 2009 under the reorganized AMA Pro Racing group. Motorsports Program Manager for the Army National Guard Bureau, Sergeant First Class John Metzler, “believes the partnership will strongly impact the National Guard’s Recruiting and Retention efforts. Racing is an American sport. It reaches our recruiting demographic.
