CORONA EXTRA HONDA RACING WELCOMES NEIL HODGSON FOR LAGUNA AMA SUPERBIKE Corona Extra Honda Racing is very pleased to announce that 2003 World SuperBike Champion Neil Hodgson will be joining fellow Brit James Ellison on the Team’s Honda CBR1000RR SuperBike for this weeks Laguna Seca AMA SuperBike event. The event, held in conjunction with MotoGP, marks the return of Hodgson to US Superbike racing after his team pulled out at the end of 2006. Neil has been undertaking testing of factory MotoGP bikes to develop tires to date. The program for Neil has been put together in conjunction with American Honda, Parts Unlimited and Race Tech and has included three days of Fast-track time at Fontana and another full day at Buttonwillow. The testing has allowed Neil to get familiar with the Honda SuperBike and set it up to his liking. After 130 laps of solo time this past Thursday Neil said; “We have been able to get the bike set up to my liking and I think competitive. I’m looking forward to being back in AMA SuperBike and am particularly happy to be back at Laguna, a track I know well!” Corona Extra Honda SuperBikes will be much in evidence in and around Monterey with ten display bikes at retails stores and bike shops. Further, Corona Extra will be supporting the event both at-track and in radio tags added to regional radio advertising. Check out the team website for scheduled rider appearances at the track and at local Corona-serving restaurants during the event. “RACING TO THE LIME”
