Orlando, Florida October 13, 2008 Michael Jordan Motorsports Suzuki is pleased to announce that the team will be partnering with the Army National Guard to field a second American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) Superbike team in 2009. The partnership was announced at a presentation on Friday, October 9, 2008 at the Caribe Royale Orlando Resort in front of over 2000 National Guard troops. Lieutenant General Clyde A. Vaughn, Director of the Army National Guard was on hand at the unveiling. “I’ve had the opportunity to represent our country twice as an Olympian,” Jordan told troops, “but you get to represent our country every day.” During the 2008 season, rider Aaron Yates captured the team’s first championship in its five year history, in the AMA Superstock class, with teammate Geoff May finishing in second place.
