Milwaukee Yamaha Superbike Star James Ellison Rides at Thundersprint 2013 James Ellison is one of the hottest prospects for this year’s British Superbike Championship riding the Milwaukee Yamaha R1. Now the talented Cumbrian star is joining over 200 riders on the track at this year’s Thundersprint, which will be held at the Anglesey Circuit on the 21 April. James really is the ultimate seen-that-and-got-the-shirt racer having competed successfully in everything from MotoGP to the World Endurance Championship and he is looking forward to the unique Thundersprint. James said: “I have wanted to ride in the Thundersprint for years now but it has always clashed with my world championship commitments. When I found out that I was free this year I couldn’t wait to sign up. “The great attraction for me is that the whole motorcycling world is at the Thundersprint from Superbikes to really old classics. As someone who loves bikes, as well as being a professional motorcycle racer, it’s going to be a dream day out for me. “I’m also looking forward to meeting my fans away from the pressures of championship racing. There’s going to be lots of time for autographs and pictures – plus a bit of fun riding an R1 on the fabulous Anglesey track too.” Thundersprint organiser Frank Melling said: “We’ve known, liked and admired James for many years not only as a rider but also because he is such a thoroughly nice person. James is also fabulous on a bike and riding Yamaha’s latest R1 Superbike, you can be sure of seeing some lively action on the track. “There are no “Keep Out” or “VIP” areas at the Thundersprint and so when James isn’t on the track, or making appearances at the Carole Nash stand, he will be there to talk bikes with Thundersprint fans.” For more information contact Frank Melling on 01928 740 498 or e-mail [email protected]
