Waukesha, Wisc. – James Gang/Hoban Brothers Racing will return to action with the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA) CPL Systems National Historic Cup Roadrace Series during the Road America round of the series on June 5-7, 2015.

“I first raced AHRMA 16 years ago at Road America after moving to Milwaukee, so it feels like a homecoming of sorts,” said rider and team co-owner Paul James. “I’m really excited to experience all the improvements at Road America, rip my XR1200 through the Carousel and take in all the family fun of the Rockerbox Motofest event.”

Going from the AMA Pro Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson spec series to classes with a wide variety of equipment provides the team with a new challenge. “We look at racing as a way to showcase our decades of engine building expertise at Hoban Brothers,” said team GM, tuner and co-owner John Dahmer. “We enjoy the great proving ground of competition and we’ll have some fun opening up the performance of the Harley-Davidson XR1200 in order to go head-to-head with some pretty fast bikes.”

The team scored a third and fourth place finish in AHRMA’s modern twins classes at the NOLA round on March 28th, while racing against Ducatis, Suzukis and Triumphs. “After five years of spec class racing, it was really fun to mix it up with some different bikes and riders, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the AHRMA paddock,” said James.

James Gang/Hoban Brothers Racing sponsors include N.E.W. Industries, which provides CNC production machined parts and weldments as well as complete secondary services to top O.E.M. manufacturers in the U.S. and abroad. And Spectro Oils, one of the world’s foremost manufacturers and packagers of premium – quality lubricants. Additional team sponsors include: Hoban Cycle, Darkhorse Crankworks, Kymco USA, Arai helmets, DrippinWet.com, Sportbike Track Gear, Shorai and Blasier Performance.
